ONE RING & CO

LEGAL PACK

Last updated: 26 September 2026

This document contains separate website policies and legal pages for ONE RING AND CO.

1. TERMS & CONDITIONS

These Terms & Conditions apply to purchases made from ONE RING AND CO.

Please read them carefully before placing an order. By placing an order with us, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory rights.

1.1 ABOUT US

ONE RING AND CO is the trading name of Adam van Loen, operating as a sole trader.

Business address:
41 Beech Avenue
Radlett
Hertfordshire
WD7 7DD
United Kingdom

Email: studio@oneringandco.com

Throughout these Terms & Conditions, references to “ONE RING AND CO”, “ONE RING”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Adam van Loen trading as ONE RING AND CO.

1.2 OUR PRODUCT

ONE RING AND CO offers a laboratory-grown diamond engagement ring in a choice of white or yellow gold.

The product page will state the specifications applicable to the ring, including the laboratory-grown diamond specification, precious metal, ring size options, certification and other relevant product information.

Our rings are made following your order.

We aim to describe our products accurately and provide the information you need to understand what you are purchasing.

1.3 LABORATORY-GROWN DIAMONDS

The diamond supplied with your ONE RING is a laboratory-grown diamond.

We use the terms “laboratory-grown” or “lab-grown” throughout our website and communications to distinguish our diamonds from naturally mined diamonds.

The diamond specification applicable to your order will be stated on the product page and/or order confirmation.

1.4 DIAMOND CERTIFICATION

Where stated on the product page, your ONE RING will be supplied with an independent diamond grading certificate.

The grading certificate relates to the individual diamond identified by the certificate number.

Diamond grading is carried out by the relevant independent grading laboratory, which is responsible for the grading information contained in its certificate.

Where the product page specifies a particular grading laboratory, diamond colour, clarity, carat weight or other grading characteristic, the diamond supplied will conform to the specification forming part of your order.

1.5 PLACING AN ORDER

To order your ONE RING, you will select your preferred gold colour and follow one of the available sizing routes.

You may be offered:

  • SIZE FIRST – receive a ONE RING SIZING KIT before your ring is made; or

  • KNOW YOUR SIZE? – provide your chosen ring size when placing your order.

Please check all order information carefully before completing checkout.

Our checkout process gives you the opportunity to review your order and correct errors before making payment.

By completing checkout using the final payment button, you acknowledge that you are placing an order that requires payment.

Once payment has been successfully processed, we will send you an order confirmation by email.

We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order where:

  • payment has not been authorised;

  • there has been an obvious pricing or product-information error;

  • we are unable to obtain or manufacture the product;

  • we reasonably suspect fraud or unauthorised payment; or

  • we are otherwise legally unable to fulfil the order.

If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, we will refund the amount paid.

1.6 PRICES

Prices are displayed in GBP (£).

The total amount payable by you, including applicable taxes and any delivery charges, will be shown before you complete your purchase.

We may change our prices from time to time. A price change will not affect an order that we have already accepted.

We take reasonable care to ensure prices displayed on our website are correct.

If an obvious pricing error occurs, we may contact you before fulfilling the order and give you the opportunity to purchase the product at the correct price or cancel the order.

1.7 PAYMENT

Payment must be made in full when placing your order unless we expressly state otherwise.

Available payment methods will be displayed during checkout.

Payment processing may be provided by a third-party payment provider.

We do not normally receive or store your complete payment-card details.

Your payment provider may apply its own terms and privacy policy to your transaction.

1.8 RING SIZING

Ring sizing is personal and can vary between countries, jewellers, measuring tools and measuring methods.

Fit can also be affected by finger shape, temperature, swelling, time of day and personal preference.

For these reasons, a ring size cannot guarantee a particular subjective fit.

SIZE FIRST

If you choose SIZE FIRST, we will send you a ONE RING SIZING KIT before your ring is made.

You will use the Sizing Kit to help determine the ring size you would like us to manufacture.

You must then confirm your chosen final ring size to us in accordance with the instructions provided.

We will manufacture your ONE RING to the size you confirm.

KNOW YOUR SIZE?

If you already know the size you wish to order, you can provide that size when placing your order.

We will manufacture your ONE RING to the size selected in your order.

1.9 SIZING KIT, FIT & REFIT RESPONSIBILITY

The ONE RING SIZING KIT is designed to help you choose the size you would like us to manufacture.

We cannot guarantee that your ring will not need adjusting after you receive it.

Using the ONE RING SIZING KIT does not guarantee a perfect fit.

Finger size and preferred fit can vary for a number of reasons, including finger shape, temperature, swelling, time of day and personal preference. A ring that corresponds to the size selected using the Sizing Kit may therefore still feel too tight, too loose or simply not fit in the way you prefer.

Whether you use the ONE RING SIZING KIT or provide your size directly, you are responsible for confirming the final ring size you would like us to manufacture.

If we manufacture your ONE RING to the size you confirmed and the ring later needs to be made larger or smaller, the adjustment is treated as a separate refit service.

ONE RING AND CO does not cover the cost of resizing or refitting a ring where the ring has been manufactured to the size confirmed by you. This applies even if you used the ONE RING SIZING KIT before your ring was made.

Any refit or resize required after delivery must therefore be paid for separately by you at the applicable price.

The Sizing Kit is intended to improve the likelihood of selecting a suitable size, but it is not a fit guarantee and does not include free resizing.

This does not affect your statutory rights where the ring is faulty, has been manufactured to a different size from the size you confirmed, or otherwise does not conform to your order.

1.10 REFIT SERVICE & CHARGES

Refitting is a separate, paid service and is not included in the purchase price of your ONE RING.

If your ONE RING has been correctly manufactured to the size you confirmed but you later require a different size, you may use one of the refit options offered by ONE RING AND CO, subject to availability and the suitability of the requested adjustment.

PARTNER JEWELLER REFIT

Where available, you may take your ONE RING to one of our partner jewellers.

Current partner-jeweller refit charges are:

  • Yellow gold: £55

  • White gold: £65

We will provide the relevant partner-jeweller details and instructions.

INSURED POSTAL REFIT

Where available, we may arrange an insured postal refit service.

Current insured postal refit charges are:

  • Yellow gold: £100

  • White gold: £110

We will provide the relevant postage, packaging and return instructions.

The applicable refit price and service details will be confirmed before you purchase the service.

Refit prices may change for future refit requests. Any change will not affect a refit service you have already purchased.

Some size changes may not be technically appropriate or possible without remaking or replacing part of the ring. If that applies, we will explain the available options and any additional cost before any work is carried out.

These charges apply where the ring was correctly manufactured to the size confirmed by you. They do not limit your statutory rights where the ring is faulty, incorrectly manufactured or otherwise does not conform to the contract.

1.11 PRODUCTION & APPROXIMATE DELIVERY

Your ONE RING is made following your order.

Our usual production and delivery timeframe is approximately 4 weeks.

If you choose SIZE FIRST, the approximately 4-week timeframe will normally begin once you have confirmed your final ring size to us.

If you choose KNOW YOUR SIZE?, the approximately 4-week timeframe will normally begin once your order has been accepted and we have the information needed to begin production.

The 4-week timeframe is an estimate and is not a guaranteed delivery date.

Production, hallmarking, quality checks, supplier availability, shipping or other circumstances may occasionally cause an order to take longer.

If we become aware of a material delay affecting your order, we will contact you.

If we expressly agree a guaranteed delivery date with you, that agreed date will apply.

1.12 ORDER CHANGES

If you need to change information relating to your order, contact us as soon as possible at studio@oneringandco.com.

We cannot guarantee that an order can be changed once production has begun.

If we are able to accommodate a requested change after work has started, additional costs may apply. We will tell you about any additional charge before agreeing the change.

Nothing in this section removes any cancellation right that applies to you by law.

1.13 DELIVERY

Available delivery arrangements and any applicable charges will be shown before you complete your purchase.

We will provide dispatch or tracking information where available.

Please ensure your name, address and other delivery information are correct before submitting your order.

We are not responsible for delays caused by incorrect or incomplete delivery information supplied by you, although we will take reasonable steps to help resolve delivery problems.

The ring remains at our risk until it is delivered to you or to a person you have identified to receive it on your behalf, except where applicable law provides otherwise.

1.14 CHANGE-OF-MIND RETURNS

We offer a 14-day change-of-mind return period for eligible ONE RING purchases.

You must tell us that you wish to return your ONE RING within 14 days after receiving it.

To request a return, contact studio@oneringandco.com and include your name and order number.

Where you have a statutory right to cancel under applicable consumer law, nothing in these Terms restricts that right.

Where a statutory cancellation exception applies, any additional change-of-mind return right expressly offered by ONE RING AND CO is governed by the conditions of that return policy.

We will provide the appropriate return address and instructions.

1.15 RETURN POSTAGE

For a change-of-mind return, you are responsible for the cost of returning your ONE RING unless applicable law requires otherwise.

Because of the value of the product, the ring must be returned using an appropriately tracked and insured delivery service.

Depending on where inspection or processing takes place, the return address may be outside the United Kingdom.

We will tell you the correct return address before you send the ring.

We may offer to arrange suitable insured return delivery for you. If we do, the price will be confirmed before you choose that service.

Different rules apply where your ONE RING is faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or not as described.

1.16 INSPECTION SEAL

Your ONE RING may arrive with a ONE RING Inspection Seal attached.

We recommend leaving the Inspection Seal attached while inspecting and trying on your ring.

Removing the Inspection Seal does not automatically remove a statutory cancellation right where one applies.

You may handle and try on the ring to the extent reasonably necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and fit.

Returned rings will be inspected.

Where permitted by law, if a ring has been worn, damaged, altered or handled beyond what was reasonably necessary to inspect it and this has reduced its value, we may make an appropriate deduction from the refund.

1.17 RETURNING YOUR ONE RING

Please package your ONE RING securely and follow the return instructions we provide.

Unless inappropriate in the circumstances, please return the ring together with the items supplied with it, including:

  • ring box;

  • diamond grading certificate;

  • supplied documentation; and

  • other accessories supplied as part of the order.

If an original diamond grading certificate or another item materially associated with the value of the ring is not returned, this may affect the value of the returned goods and, where legally permitted, may be reflected in the refund.

1.18 REFUNDS

Where you validly exercise a statutory right to cancel, we will provide the refund required by law.

Where applicable, this includes the price paid for the goods and the cost of our standard outbound delivery option.

If you chose a more expensive delivery method than our standard option, we are not required to refund the additional amount above the standard delivery charge where the law permits.

Refunds will normally be issued using the same payment method used for the original transaction unless otherwise agreed.

Where permitted by law, we may withhold a refund until we have received the returned goods or you provide evidence that you have sent them back.

Where legally permitted, we may make a deduction for any reduction in value caused by handling beyond what was reasonably necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and fit of the ring.

1.19 FAULTY, DAMAGED, INCORRECT OR MISDESCRIBED PRODUCTS

We are under a legal duty to supply goods that conform to the contract.

If your ONE RING:

  • is faulty;

  • arrives damaged;

  • is not as described;

  • does not correspond with the agreed specification;

  • has been manufactured to a different ring size from the size you confirmed; or

  • is not the product you ordered,

please contact studio@oneringandco.com.

We may ask for photographs, measurements or other reasonable information to help us understand the problem.

Where we are legally responsible for the return of faulty or non-conforming goods, we will bear reasonable return costs where required by law.

Depending on the circumstances and your statutory rights, you may be entitled to remedies including repair, replacement, price reduction or refund.

1.20 PRODUCT IMAGES, AI-GENERATED CONTENT & APPEARANCE

Some images, lifestyle images, illustrations or other visual content used on the ONE RING AND CO website, advertising or social media may be created or enhanced using artificial intelligence.

We use these images to represent the intended appearance, style and presentation of ONE RING as accurately as reasonably possible.

However, AI-generated or AI-enhanced imagery is illustrative and may not reproduce every physical detail of the finished ring exactly.

The appearance of a ring may also vary because of lighting, photography, image processing, screen settings, scale, perspective and the individual visual characteristics of a diamond.

Gold colour may appear differently depending on lighting and screen settings.

Minor visual differences may therefore occur between imagery shown online and the physical ring you receive.

The product description, specifications and order confirmation form part of the description of the product you are purchasing.

Nothing in this section allows us to supply a product that does not conform to the description or specification forming part of your contract.

1.21 DIAMOND CHARACTERISTICS

Individual laboratory-grown diamonds of the same stated grade may display minor visual differences.

Where a specific graded diamond and certificate are allocated to your order, the certificate supplied relates to that diamond.

Nothing in this section allows us to supply a product that does not comply with the specification forming part of your contract.

1.22 CARE & WEAR

Fine jewellery should be treated with appropriate care.

Damage occurring after delivery as a result of accidents, misuse, inappropriate care, normal wear and tear or third-party alterations may not constitute a manufacturing fault.

Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights where a fault existed when the ring was supplied.

1.23 THIRD-PARTY ALTERATIONS

If you independently instruct another jeweller or third party to alter, repair or resize your ONE RING outside a service arranged by us, we are not responsible for damage or problems caused by that third party's work.

Third-party work does not remove any rights you may have in relation to a separate fault for which we remain legally responsible.

1.24 WEBSITE INFORMATION

We take reasonable care to keep information on our website accurate and up to date.

We may change product information, availability, website content, refit options and prices from time to time.

Changes will not retrospectively alter an order already accepted by us except where required by law or expressly agreed with you.

1.25 PROMOTIONS

From time to time we may offer promotional codes or other offers.

Any specific conditions applicable to an offer will be made clear when the offer is made.

Unless otherwise stated, promotional codes have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash.

We reserve the right to withdraw or correct a promotion where there has been an obvious error, fraud or misuse, provided this does not interfere with rights already acquired under an accepted contract.

1.26 OUR LIABILITY

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.

We are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill.

Where you are purchasing as a consumer, we are not responsible for business losses such as loss of profit, revenue, business opportunity or commercial interruption.

1.27 EVENTS OUTSIDE OUR REASONABLE CONTROL

We will not be responsible for a delay or failure caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control where the law permits.

If such an event materially affects our ability to fulfil your order, we will contact you and take reasonable steps to minimise the effect of the delay.

Your statutory rights remain unaffected.

1.28 COMPLAINTS

If you have a complaint about an order, product or service, contact:

studio@oneringandco.com

Please include your name, order number where applicable and details of your concern.

We will review your complaint and aim to respond within a reasonable period.

1.29 GOVERNING LAW

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If you live elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you retain any mandatory consumer rights and protections available to you under the laws applicable where you live.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot legally be excluded.

2. DELIVERY & RETURNS POLICY

This page is a plain-English summary of our delivery, sizing, refit and returns process. Our Terms & Conditions contain the full contractual terms.

DELIVERY

Your ONE RING is made following your order.

Our usual production and delivery timeframe is approximately 4 weeks.

If you choose SIZE FIRST, this timeframe will normally begin once you confirm your final ring size.

The 4-week timeframe is an estimate rather than a guaranteed delivery date.

We will provide tracking information where available once your ring has been dispatched.

SIZE FIRST

If you choose SIZE FIRST, we send you the ONE RING SIZING KIT before your ring is made.

You use the kit to help choose the size you would like us to manufacture and then confirm that size to us.

The sizing kit is designed to help you choose a suitable size, but it does not guarantee a perfect fit.

KNOW YOUR SIZE?

If you already know the size you want, you can select it when ordering and we will make your ONE RING to that size.

REFITS

We cannot guarantee that a ring will never need adjusting.

Finger size and preferred fit can change or vary, even where our Sizing Kit has been used.

If your ring is correctly made to the size you confirmed but you later require a different size, the refit is a separate paid service.

We do not cover the cost of a refit simply because the ring requires a different fit after delivery, including where you used the ONE RING SIZING KIT.

Current refit options are:

Partner jeweller

  • Yellow gold: £55

  • White gold: £65

Insured postal refit

  • Yellow gold: £100

  • White gold: £110

If we manufacture your ring to a different size from the size you confirmed, or the ring is otherwise faulty or non-conforming, your statutory rights are unaffected.

CHANGE-OF-MIND RETURNS

We offer a 14-day change-of-mind return period for eligible ONE RING purchases.

You must tell us within 14 days after receiving your ring that you wish to return it.

Email studio@oneringandco.com with your name and order number.

We will provide the return address and instructions.

RETURN DELIVERY

For change-of-mind returns, you are responsible for the cost of return delivery unless applicable law requires otherwise.

Because of the value of the ring, returns must use an appropriately tracked and insured service.

Depending on where inspection or processing takes place, the return address may be outside the UK.

We may offer to arrange insured return delivery for you at your cost.

INSPECTION SEAL

Your ONE RING may arrive with an Inspection Seal attached.

We recommend leaving it attached while checking the appearance and fit.

Removing the seal does not automatically remove a statutory cancellation right where one applies.

However, if the ring has been worn, altered, damaged or handled beyond what was reasonably necessary to inspect it, a lawful deduction may be made for any resulting reduction in value.

FAULTY OR INCORRECT PRODUCTS

If your ring is faulty, damaged, not as described, manufactured to the wrong confirmed size or otherwise does not conform to your order, contact studio@oneringandco.com.

Your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.

6. HALLMARKING INFORMATION

ONE RING AND CO is committed to complying with applicable UK precious-metal hallmarking requirements.

OUR GOLD

Where a ONE RING is described as 9-carat gold, this corresponds to a fineness of:

375

This means the alloy contains 375 parts of gold per thousand.

HALLMARKING

Where required by UK law, ONE RING products described and supplied as gold will carry a legally recognised hallmark confirming the precious-metal fineness.

The exact marks appearing on a ring may vary depending on the authorised hallmarking system, Assay Office or recognised hallmarking authority involved.

A hallmark is separate from a diamond grading certificate.

The hallmark relates to the precious metal.

The diamond grading certificate relates to the characteristics of the laboratory-grown diamond.

OFFICIAL DEALER'S NOTICE

UK hallmarking rules require dealers supplying precious-metal articles to make official hallmarking information available to customers.

The official British Hallmarking Council Dealer's Notice should be displayed prominently on this page in the form required for online retail.

WEBSITE ACTION: INSERT THE CURRENT OFFICIAL BRITISH HALLMARKING COUNCIL DEALER'S NOTICE OR APPROVED ONLINE VERSION HERE.

QUESTIONS

For questions about the hallmark on your ONE RING, contact:

studio@oneringandco.com

7. AI-GENERATED IMAGERY & PRODUCT REPRESENTATION POLICY

ONE RING AND CO may use artificial intelligence as part of the creation or enhancement of visual content on our website, advertising and social media.

This may include:

  • lifestyle imagery;

  • model imagery;

  • backgrounds;

  • compositions;

  • product visualisations;

  • edited or enhanced imagery; and

  • other illustrative content.

We aim to ensure that imagery represents ONE RING and its intended appearance as accurately as reasonably possible.

However, AI-generated and AI-enhanced imagery is illustrative and may not reproduce every physical detail of the finished product exactly.

Differences may arise because of:

  • lighting;

  • perspective;

  • image scale;

  • screen settings;

  • rendering;

  • image processing;

  • the individual characteristics of each diamond; and

  • the limitations of AI-generated visual content.

For this reason, customers should rely on the written product description, stated specifications, diamond certification and order confirmation when determining the specification of the product being purchased.

Use of AI-generated imagery does not allow ONE RING AND CO to supply a product that does not conform to the description or specification forming part of the contract.

Your statutory rights remain unaffected.

8. COMPLAINTS & CONTACT

  • payment has not been authorised;

  • there has been an obvious pricing or product-information error;

  • we are unable to obtain or manufacture the product;

  • ring box;

  • diamond grading certificate;

  • is faulty;

  • arrives damaged;

  • is not as described;

  • does not correspond with the agreed specification;

  • lifestyle imagery;

  • model imagery;

  • backgrounds;

  • compositions;

  • product visualisations;

  • lighting;

  • perspective;

  • image scale;

  • screen settings;

  • rendering;

  • image processing;
